Feline Veterinarian
Katy Beachy, DVM
Dr. Beachy graduated from Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. Her love of cats and the ocean brought her south to a small feline-only practice in Greensboro, NC where she worked for 10 years. After her third child was born she switched to a small animal hospital in Summerfield part-time. Her love of cats had her returning to her original practice until late 2023 when she joined the wonderful staff at Cat Care Hospital. She has a passion for working with clients and staff to provide the best medicine for your cats. Her interests include soft tissue surgery and ultrasound. During her time off she enjoys spending time with her 3 beautiful children, yoga, hiking, reading, and trying various art projects. They share their home with 5 cats: BatCat, Waffles, Maui, Minion, and Mocha; 3 turtles and fish.

Feline Veterinarian
Lorna McLeod, DVM
Dr. McLeod earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1996 and has practiced in the Triad since 1997.
Dr. McLeod is a member of the Animal Association of Feline Practitioners. Her interests include geriatric medicine and intricate surgical procedures. She also partners with several local rescue groups like Juliet's House.
She also enjoys traveling, representing her heritage at Scottish festivals and spending time with family.
She shares her home with 6 kitties: Luther, Sybil, Cedric, Martin, Fish, and OK.
Dr. McLeod owns Cat Care Hospital (both locations) as well as Animal Health and Wellness Hospital in Rural Hall, NC.

Hannah Ruetten, DVM, PhD
Dr. Hannah Ruetten is a highly skilled veterinarian and researcher specializing in urinary tract dysfunction and incontinence at Wake Forest University School of Medicine- with whom we will be sharing her time with. With a passion for understanding disease processes and developing innovative treatments, she strives to make a significant impact on the lives of both humans and animals. Driven by her dedication to improving healthcare, Dr. Ruetten's expertise lies in bridging the gap between scientific knowledge and practical applications. With a particular focus on urinary tract dysfunction and incontinence, Dr. Ruetten dedicates her time to groundbreaking research aimed at unraveling the complexities of these conditions. Her dedication to understanding disease processes fuels her drive to develop innovative treatments and improve the quality of life for her patients.

Veterinary Assistant
Amy B.
Amy now calls North Carolina home, but is originally from Milwaukee, WI. She has always had a particular love of cats and has been working exclusively with them since 2020. While not at work, she enjoys painting, cosplaying, and video gaming. All this and she still has time to devote to her spouse Shaun(a dog groomer) and her four cats- Sassa, Samson, Stella, and Willow.

Matt M.
Matt has been working in the veterinary field since 1995. His interests are geriatrics, dentistry and fractious cats. Out of the practice interests include spending time with family, attending and volunteering at his church and outdoor activities such as overlanding and camping.

Brittany W.
Brittany has a degree in medical administration from GTCC. She cares for 18 rescue cats and her local colony. In her spare time, Brittany enjoys reading, playing video games, and spending time with her family and cats.

Rebecca W.
Rebecca studied Animal Care & Management at Alamance Community College and graduated in 2018. She has worked in shelters, veterinary offices, and emergency since then. She’s worked with everything from cats and dogs to lions, tigers, and bearcats, oh my! Rebecca has 6 cats at home between her and her husband: Buttons, Broll, Millie, Brody, Gin, and Tonic.
In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her husband and cats, gardening, and unwinding with video games.

Madi S.
Madi is pictured here with her oldest cat, Myrtle--who she found in a tree as a kitten.
Madi joins us from the Cat Clinic. She lives in Greensboro, NC. She started out in a shelter setting and learned she loves working with animals, cats in particular, and hopes to grow her career in the Veterinary field in the future with specific interest in emergency medicine.
Before working in the veterinary world, she taught classical violin and still makes time for music in her personal life. Madi loves swimming, nature, and coming home to her menagerie of cats (Myrtle, Gremlin, Mrs. Butter, Waffles, and Roo).

Zito is our resident office cat here at Cat Care Battleground. He loves greeting everyone who comes in and let's your kitties know they are in good hands. His favorite pastimes include napping in the sun and begging to be held.
